Heartbreaking to read, deepest sympathies to Beth and all their family and friends. He really will be missed by his friends across the world.

rhkkmk, I am not nearly as eloquent as so many of the other posters, so I will just say we are very sad with you, and hope that Andy is in a better place now.

jules39 Jun 7th, 2011 10:57 AM

He is at peace now. Beth & yourselves will be so much in my thoughts as you go through this. Sending all the best wishes & comfort I can.
I know you each have amazing, beautiful, happy memories that will ultimately help you through this sad time.
Please let Beth know that there are so many people that have never even met her or Andy that send her all our love.
Take care.

I just decided to re-read one of Andys old trip reports. I urge you all to do that, he loved to make us smile and boy he did that and some... Thank you for the laughs and being a great email pal my friend.

Craig Jun 7th, 2011 11:21 AM

Rest in peace, Andy...

Thank you, Bob & Karen.

Dear Andy, rest in peace. You have made so many lives so much better through your wit, wisdom, and kindness. How we have loved to sign onto Fodor's and see that the (indeed) fabulous Gpanda has left words to cheer, cajole, tease, instruct, inspire. You have been larger than life and beloved beyond reason -- the Panda moniker was aptly chosen.

I am so impressed by the sage and sensitive comments that other Fodorites have been leaving during these dark days. I, for one, am less evolved than most of you and am having more of a "rage, rage against the dying of the light" response. Thank you, fellow posters, for showing a better way to take this journey as well.

Beth, you remain in our thoughts and we look forward to participating in the Thai tribute when the time is right for you.

Many Fodorites in this thread have expressed more eloquantly than I ever could the sadness in our hearts today. Rest in Peace.

One day we may meet again at that great big hotel in the sky...

Rest in peace friend. It was an honor to know you and call you a friend.

May he rest peacefully.

My heart felt empty today when I heard this news. I never met Andy, but felt like he was a good friend. I am heading to Seoul this weekend--and when I am in the sky--I am going to give a toast to him and his great spirit. He will be missed, but not forgotten.

BeachGirl247 Jun 7th, 2011 01:37 PM

I am sad to hear this and echo the sentiments of all. He will be missed. ((f))
