usernameistaken, good to see that you are Polish! Dzień dobry!

One has been waiting for the Ghost of Joe Pepitone to rub salt in it. Hey, the Local 9 have won 2 of 6 against the mighty O's (who are 3-16 against the rest of the league).
Howzitgoing, Craig. Any upcoming plans for Asia? |
Don, I couldn't resist - the O's after all(!) And yes, in 1968/69 when I was a kid and did not have much to root for, Joe Pepitone was cool - unfortunately, it seems his example was not one of the better ones to follow...
Malaysia is the next trip, Singapore, Penang, Kuching & somewhere on Sabah - July 2011. |
notice he does not say, i take the check and pay it.. EVER
|
Have we forgotten Horace Clarke? Those teams for which Craig rooted as a little Fodorite were driven by Horace.
So when we go to dinner with Bob, we always split the bill. We always pay him cash and he puts it on his credit card, so he can get the points. Should I ask for a 1/2 perecnt discount for cash? |
No, Einstein, you should go on a trip with him and demand he use the points to upgrade either your hotel, your room or both. (This really isn't rocket science. I checked with my ex-boyfriend in Winchester, the rocket scientist.)

Is Pad Kee Meow made with Cat?
|
lol, cranachin.
|
BC- one says not demand anything with the POB. He immediately cops an attitude and calls for the General Manager. One directs him in a more subtle and wily fashion. The Way of the Panda is complex.
Cranachin-it was delicious. Perhaps I misspelled the actual name of the dish, but I thought the "meow" would get some comment so I went with it. 19 days of treatment and no side effects. Rode 10 miles with lots of hills this morning. It felt great. Big case on Thursday, with lots of prep. |
rode a camel, or a horse or just what?
|
Bob, it's all part of Gpanda's billing scheme. All I can say is "pity the poor unsuspecting client". Gpanda will bill the client for both hour(s) and mileage for today. (Even if it was mileage in a car, on an ostrich, or in any other form.) If the client dares to balk, Gpanda will claim he was thinking about strategies for the court case the entire time. Trust me, the client doesn't stand a chance.
Gpanda, the General Manager of what???? Like the Secretary of The Treasury?? BC |
>>>Favorite Asia Destination<<<
(So many, and do promise to keep this reply 'pg-13'.) Now, warm greetings Andy, and hope all is going well with treatments. (And 'btw', how is Singapore Airlines treating you? Just between us: current little promos for those flying ex JFK, EWR and other locales - check them out at singaporeair.com ) Speaking of that cherished carrier and your thread title, would gently suggest "it's the journey, not the destination", and "honour the process". (Going back to the 80s and 90s, great climbing buddies, and my all-time cherished Asia destinations, certain mountaineering routes in Nepal and Tibet. Given your current medical conditions and potential time constraints, would propose the 'pampering' - and SQ - routes for you.) Should Japan be in the picture, a 'Mr. Kita' certainly has a fine shop - and some nostalgic photos of my rather far-flung family - in Kyoto. More details, if desired. Wherever you stay, hope it entails a bit of fund spending in Thailand. Last week, I had a brief and thankfully productive work session, staying at the quiet Krungthep Wing, Shangri-La. (Not quite the 'ghost town' I had feared: of late, the Four Seasons has been giving potential guests the option of either the 'P.A.' or Shangri-La, at relatively decent rates, particularly for you corporate travellers. The FS plans to resume full-service 9 May 2010. (Of course, being Bangkok these days, perhaps this news is already 'changed/outdated'. And can't resist: my fine friends at the SL are still working away, and those forever memorable masseuses, Khun 'D' and Khun 'K', are still giving fine '24-7, in-house' massages. Enjoy.) (And a warm and healthy 'shout-out' to all those living and working full-time in Thailand: early and happy 'Coronation Day' greetings.) Wherever you stay Andy (like 'the don', we loved the FS Sayan in Bali - never quite got around to leaving the property and a 'comped' evening, courtesy of the fine FS management), savour those Girls, and, as always, smooth SQ rides to you. macintosh (robert) ... "Sweet dreams" ... (Khun ( ), Shangri-La, 2010) |
Singapore Air has said that they are processing our claim and they will issue a full refund without penalty. Once agian demonstrating the AskOksena may be right.
Japan has always been high on my list. Beth is another matter. We will see. My clients are lucky to have me. They never complain about my billing, no matter how imaginative. |
Why isn't Beth high on your list? I think you are going to be in trouble.
|
Thanks, Rizzuto, my question exactly, is the very same as yours!
BC |
The simple fact is that Japan is not high on Beth's list. Beth is not on a list of mine. There are no other entries. Beth and Beth only. Rizzuto and BC know this. They are just stirring up trouble.
|
Hey! Rizzuto and I resemble that remark!
BC |
My husband was the one that wanted to go to Japan and I really wasn't all that keen but in the end it turned out to be my favourite destination. Haven't been to Vietnam yet but we're planning a trip there for October.
Plan both. |
It's sad, but we may have to take health concerns into our decisional process. Apparently, my chemo lowers the efficacy of oy immune system. This does not mean my only choices are Sloane-Kettering, Duke and Houston, but health conditions will be part of the equation. No more visits to Needham.
