Great photos. Where are the speedos?
Bob would look great in some white powder. |
Alice - I use the standard lens that comes with the Canon A95. Jeane has several lenses that she uses, depending on the situation. The best way to get sharp photos is to discard all of the blurry ones - we certainly had a few of those.
Andy - Yankee fans don't do speedos... |
Because they are ashamed. as well they should be.
|
Thanks for sharing the photos. The photo's of Bagon in the morning mist gave me chills.
|
Craig - the photosite link no longer works. Do you have the photos elsewhere so we can see them again?
|
rkkwan tells me that you have fantastic shots from a hot air balloon. Unfortunately, I am getting a login screen. Am I too late or do I need to create an account to see them?
Thanks :) |
Photosite is out of business. Eventually I will repost on a new site when I've decided which one is the best - its a bit of a project but I hope that I won't need a major trip to motivate me. Will be going to Sri Lanka in February but expect to get it done before then as it is on my to-do list for the next month.
|
Craig - I'll keep an eye out. rkkwan knows that I'm quite the "balloonatic" and knew that I would enjoy seeing your photos. No hurry on my account.
Have you had an opportunity to balloon again? Me, I've just returned back from a long weekend in Albuquerque for the Balloon Fiesta. Although close to home, it is my preferred vacation! |
moldy - if you provide me with an e-mail address I can forward some of the photos to you.
We are not avid balloonists having done it only once previously in our native Connecticut. |
Use my fodor's screen name at gmail.com.
I appreciate you sending them when you have a chance. I would guess that 95% of my pictures are related to ballooning. Yes, I have a problem! |
Ok folks, I've reposted my photos on a new site, which I hope won't go out of business any time soon.
Here's the link: http://craigandjeane.smugmug.com/ |
Thanks, Craig. Really enjoy those shots from the hot air balloon again!
SmugMug is very popular. I doubt they'll go away any time soon. |
Craig - May I ask what lenses did you bring for your 20D on your trips?
|
Actually, its Jeane that has the 20D and the lenses that she uses predominantly on trips are 17-85mm and 70-300mm.
|
Ah Craig, glad to see you have chosen smugmug....think I may have pointed you in that direction some months ago when your old photo site went down.
I have been looking once again at your pics from Burma...they look even better second time round. Sadly, Lynda and I are no closer to making our first trip there, though we are both desperately keen to go. Have you had much contact with people you met during your visit, since the recent unrest? |
I have not. My fear is that since all communications are monitored, I would only be putting these people at risk. I feel that the best thing to do is to help fellow travelers that want to visit Myanmar get in touch with those I have met.
