Great photos, Craig!
I'm curious though...why do the people put the white powder on their cheeks? Sunblock?? Beauty?? |
WOW....FANTASTIC!!!

I *love* your picture of the 'Plaid Lady'!

Fabulous photographs!!!!
Another little push for me to reconsider my reluctance to visit this country. And I am! |
Lucy, it is called thanaka powder and is made from thanaka tree bark. You guessed correctly. It is used for both sunblock and beauty.

Wonderful photos -- outstanding portraits !! you mentioned taking a lot of camera gear -- what do you use? I'm thinking an SLR -- film or have you gone digital or a mix?
|
Some of the photos are Jeane's (many of the portraits) but most are mine. We are both digital. Jeane uses a Canon EOS SLR while I use the more compact Canon A95.

The ones of Yangon brought back memories while the ones of Bagan and Inle Lake inspire us to return. Regards, Gill & Tony |
