Not sure what day they close but I would like to suggest that you try and get some recommendation for the shops there. Big place but I could not find anything unique for sales there.

My notes say it is closed on Mondays.

It is supposed to be the best place in the country to exchange money.

I also got some recommendations for places there to look for textiles.

Eks and Kathie: two great shops at Scott Market - go up one flight of stairs. Walk along balcony beside the main street till you come to the end, turn left and contine down the balcony. Two shops are next to each other.

Downstairs is just overpriced crap with some absolute oddities worth searching out. Look for 1940's toy cars, pre-war British-abilia..

Scott Market is closed on Mondays. $100 bills will gain you the best rate.

Excellent tip! Will make sure to cover the upstairs and bring new $100US bills. But Agent Hanuman has brought up a good point. Does anyone have recommendations for specific shops? What are the strong points besides the oddities that Mr. Dog has mentioned?
