<<*(Bob doesn't want the NYC GTG on Aug 11 to out-do his gig)>>

Get to work Bob - the NY GTG today was great! (and it was wonderful to met you and Karen)

rhkkmk Aug 13th, 2012 07:48 AM

we had so much fun in ny... a great pre-boston gtg...

simpsonc510 Aug 13th, 2012 03:22 PM

Yes, this was a really nice GTG. I love putting names and faces together!

bookchick Aug 14th, 2012 03:01 AM

Carol, you were there, too?!? OMG, I am so far behind the times...but I am happy to announce that I will be attending the Boston GTG, and am bringing not only my BFF but her husband, too. I asked His Bobness if I get some kind of stipend for recruiting new Fodorites, and of course, he said "no". Sheesh!

simpsonc510 Aug 14th, 2012 04:57 AM

BC, we always like meeting new people! I hope your friends have a great time in BOS. See you there. It's different in NYC... not the same... not sure how to explain it....

rhkkmk Aug 16th, 2012 11:07 AM

if our pre-gtg dinner is 1/2 as good as was fanny's we will be off to a good start

awygn Aug 17th, 2012 05:26 PM

Bob and Karen, it was nice meeting you both at the GTG-NYC and thank you for inviting me to your GTG-BOSTON. I'm unable to attend this year, but, there is always next year.

Once again. thanks (awayagain)

simpsonc510 Aug 17th, 2012 05:30 PM

We'll miss you, awayagain. I was looking forward to talking about Hawaii!

bookchick Aug 18th, 2012 08:24 AM

Carol, my BFF will be glad to talk to you (and everyone/anyone else) about Hawaii, which is her favorite place on the planet. She'll probably be dubbed "The Quizmaster" by Lcuy by the end of the first event, 'cause I have a feeling she'll be asking Lcuy 1,001 questions.

BC,

kuranosuke once asked me if I knew how they separate the men from the boys in Hawaii?

I told him with a restraining order but he did not laugh :(

Will your friend be asking those type of questions?

rhkkmk Aug 18th, 2012 10:13 AM

maybe we should take out an order on bc

bookchick Aug 18th, 2012 10:57 AM

Bob, I'm sure you'd LOVE to take out an order on me, but if you had been able to, you would've done it years ago.

Pook, I don't think my BFF and/or her husband will ask that question. (BTW, when BFF and I were growing up, over here it was "how do they separate the men from the boys in Greece?". My BFF is an American of Greek [on her mother's side] and British [on her father's side] descent.)

rhkkmk Aug 20th, 2012 11:44 AM

bc is bringing her friends for show and tell

bookchick Aug 20th, 2012 02:42 PM

I'm not sure what they'll show, but I hope they don't tell too much. BFF and I have been BFFs since she was 15 & I was 14! (We're slightly older than that now.) ;)

WELL she is

DonTopaz Aug 28th, 2012 12:56 PM

Looking forward to seeing familiar old faces as well as new ones at the GTG.

For anyone who might be interested in a city walk in Beacon Hill and a bit beyond during the day on Friday, I'm seeing if there'd be any interest in that -- please see http://www.fodors.com/community/unit...new-boston.cfm for information.

a new reservation e mail was sent out this evening to past attendees.
