Bed Supper Club
I am thinking of making a reservation at Bed Supper Club in Bangkok. Can anyone give me an idea of a price range? I just want to make sure I'm not getting into anything exorbitant. Thanks so much!
|
I think it was about $30 per person (perhaps a bit less) for the dinner (3 courses). Wine or liquor was, of course, extra. Wine was expensive -- on a par with wine at the better restaurants in Bangkok.
I felt the dinner and the experience were well worth the money. |
Is it true that the Bed & Supper Club also have people giving massages?
Are they every night or just on weekends? What is the cost? |
I remember the price as 1090 baht each and yes grandma they have people walking around offering massages before or after dinner.
Aloha! |
I've emailed Bed twice to try to confirm that they offer a vegetarian option for their weekend fixed menu and haven't gotten a response. That really bugs me and will probably lead me to not eat there. But has anyone had their vegetarian dinner?

grandma
Yes, there are massages at the Bed. I've only seen it after dinner, but it may be before as well. I'm not sure of the cost, maybe it's for a tip?? I have not had the massage. Dinner at the Bed is 1090 baht per person I know for sure, but the massage? I'm sure it isn't ANOTHER 1090baht. Surely that's not what hawaiiantraveler meant. Enjoy the experience! It's awesome. If I recall the massage was only a couple of dollars but it's really just a neck massage -- and lasts maybe 15 minutes at most.
|
your right carol..sorry for confusing..the dinners are 1090 baht and the massages were extra.

I was just there about a week and a half ago and asked for either 100% vegetarian or fish. The first course was lamb soup and I was given an incredible vegetarian salad instead. Then I was given an incredible fish dish. You would only have to get a vegetarian second course. The other courses were fine. I was concerned about the set-menu, but the waitress came over to our section and asked if there was anything that anyone couldn't eat and I told her and then I got exactly what I wanted. It's dark in there so you won't be able to check the food to see if there's been anything added that you might not be able to eat. I have a few severe food allergies and was concerned about an ingredient that might be added that could send me to Bumrungrad...good I have my medical card for there...but I told the waitress of the food allergy items and my food was fine.Happy Travels!

the weekday menu with a choice was 1090 B per person ++ in june...the set meal was more on weekends and has an additional course...maybe 1300-1500B????
e mail them again if they did not answer in a day or two....things get lost |

You and I BOTH could end up at Bumrungrad... I also have a couple of very strange but severe food related allergies! Carol |
Bob...I was there on a Friday and paid around 1090Baht. Happy Travels!

So. after dinner can you go too the dance club for free or is it another 1000 baht.
|
I think it's free. The club is VERY small and smokey with very loud music. Not a nice club, in my opinion. It's like two different worlds...the restaurant and the club. The restaurant had WAY better music...remixed 70s R&B/hiphop. My friends and I were nearly dancing on the beds. It was great! Happy Travels!

Forgot to add that you absolutely must have ID to get in no matter what your age although you have to be 20 to get in. I always carry my expired passport around for ID and leave the valid one in the safe at my hotel. Happy Travels!
|
My friend and I both brought our passports and when we asked if they wanted to see any id they said "no need" so I guess at a certain age they actually don't look. And I guess we were at it, :-) But Guen is right you should bring it with you.
|
They definitely asked me and I just turned 50. My friends are 29. They checked all three of us. I'm glad I had it. Happy Travels!
|
we were not asked for passports either but we are 61....they did stress it on all communications however....
the weekend meal is for 2 nites so maybe it is sat and sun?? they often have private parties as well and close completely so contact them 30 days in advance... the club is medium size imo...we walked right in and just looked around...did not see a fee situation |
About the weekend "surprise" dinner. The web site said it is on Fri & Sat and there there was special entertainment. Which to you all think is more important going on the weekend for the special entertainment without ordering off the menu, or ordering what you want without the weekend entertainment. It sounds like just people watching is enough entertainment, but what can I expect the rest of the week? Thanks, ready to make a reservation and this will help decide which day to do it.
|
We went during the week and had "entertainment". Even if you go when you can pick what you want you only have 3 options if I recall.
