Back to Don Muang
In case you missed it, Don Muang Airport re-opens this Saturday/Sunday. Nok and 1-2-Go will move all their flights there. Thai will move about a dozen 'non-connecting' domestic flights to the old airport, which will now be known by the code 'DMK'. Be sure to check your tickets.
For those traveling light, there's a new 'city check-in' at the Ladprao subway station. You can check in for your flight there and then board a (free?) bus to DMK. |
thanks michael for this info...the bus may be quite popular

It will be good to go back every once in a while. I kinda miss the place.
|
Is this airport closer to Bangkok than the new one?
|
no. Indeed, it takes a bit longer to get to and from the old airport than it does to get to and from the new airport.
|
Actual Thai will only keep 12 flights at the new airport serving CM, CR, Phuket and Krabi. All others, some 30, will fly out of Don Muang
