MBK!! Yikes! I think due to the madhouse mania at MBK it would probably be easier to just meet for b'fast at Adelphi... lol

We will most definitely keep this in mind when/if scheduling an April trip. DS (bradinbangkok) WILL for sure be in BKK at the same time you are there (he's flying coach... haha). He may stay at Adelphi, but actually he prefers Omni Tower on soi 4.

My friend who is in BKK right now, staying on soi 11, posting a report after ssing an executive suite at the Adelphi. Here is what he said.

"Carol,
I was finally able to see a Executive Suite there and it was beautiful and just about everything is included in the price. Even the smallest suite is nice, so much so I am going to stay here next time. The pool is salt water and the is a nice South American restaurant in the hotel. I think you will be impressed and the prices are competetive."

Update:
DH is staying at Adelphi right now, as we speak. He says that the suite (exec apartment) is very nice, but not nearly as spacious as what we are used to at Omni Tower on soi 4, or what I had at the Somerset Suwan Park View nearby. I will not complain about the size though, since we have a washer/dryer in-house, in the kitchen.

DH also says that the staff does not speak much English. That really surprises me, as I'm sure a huge number of their guests WILL be English speaking (maybe ESL, but none the less English) people! The emails I have received from Adelphi did not indicate problems with communication at all.

DH said that it almost took a crew of engineers to get the laptop on line in the apartment... not sure what THAT means. But it is now working in any case. I've had emails, at last.

I'm on my way over to BKK on Sunday and will arrive Monday night, too late to take pics and post, but you will hear from me shortly after that, about my impressions of Adelphi Suites.

Good news is, there is a great pizza place (Via Vai) right across the street on soi 8!
