Kathie...I swear when I read your above post I went into laughing hysteria. Yes, we have really gotten off track and hijacked this thread...I don't even remember what the original post was about...now that we've gone into Johnnie Depp. I'll now have to go to my local bookstore and buy that book...you and Bonita have mentioned... and take it on the plane to Singapore/Bangkok week after next. Smiles. Happy Travels!

Guenmai, it will be a great read for the plane. I must warn you, however, it's a bit heavy - probably thick enough to last you most of the way back as well...

yes Guen..U can buy the map of BOMBAY and the book at the same trip to the store and be all set to go! They will complement eachother and prepare u and get u in the mood for Bombay!
The movie is not out yet, but it is sure to be a huge Hit and bring alot of attention to Bombay/Mumbai too. And yea, Johnny Depp in India! And as Kathie mentions, the book is so huge, so may in fact last ur whole trip overseas. But it really reads quickly too, as it is so absorbing, powerful and fascinating..I just zzoomed thru it.. And speaking of books about India, i have quite a few favorites that i love and i think u all will enjoy too, *but i guess it is better to speak about them in another post, at another time, in another place perhaps...***They really have nothing to Do with "8 days in Bangkok!!" Namaste, Sawadeeka.. |
