Which airline has the nicest flight attendants
I vote for Qantas!!! I was putting someone's luggage in the overhead bin. When I was done, the flight attendant said, "would you mind if I adjust that for you?" And when they picked up my tray table after lunch, I asked for another glass of wine. The flight attendant said, "I don't have any with me, but I'll find you one."

Ok here goes, my top 5
1> Malaysia Airlines 2> Thai 3> Gulf Air 4> Singapore Airlines 5> Emirates |
I've only flown Qantas once, for a HKG-SIN roundtrip, but their FAs also left a great impression on me. Nice, cheerful personalities.
However, since all the Australians I know are also nice and cheerful, I think it has more to do with the country then the airline. :) |
Top 10 according to me: :-)
1)Qantas 2)Cathay Pacific 3)American Airlines - personal favorite (for a good reason :-D) 4)LAN 5)Emirates - the sexiest 6)LOT 7)JAL 8)EasyJet 9)British Airways 10)Ariana Afghanistan Airlines |
Japan Airlines
in any class of service, domestic or international |
This of course is generalized, unfair, subjective and based on only a few times on some airlines and many, many times on others...
1. Cathay Pacific 2. British Airways 3. American (sorry Wally) 4. Alaska 5. Qantas Hono(u)rable mentions to easyJet, BMI and Czech. A couple of memorable (the bad kind) Qantas flights with poorly trained folks knocks them to 5th. AS and AA are usually great in premium cabins; okay to great in the back. As for the others, if you can't say something nice about somebody... |
I haven't flown Qantas or any of the non-US carriers except easyJet. But in my experience, Southwest's flight attendants are consistently very friendly. My recent experience with USAir suggests they would rank near the bottom in terms of friendliness.

Singapore Airlines, hands down winner IMO.
|
1) Air New Zealand 2) Qantas 3) Southwest 4) Bangkok Air Eva Air FAs were unfailingly polite, but don't recall them being particularly friendly. I fly AA most often, and they're fine but they kind of just fall in the same unmemorable 50/50, maybe good/maybe bad service bucket as BA, Continental, NWA, Delta, Air Asia and AerLingus. |
How about posting, "Which airline has the nicest passengers?".

I am with Melnq8 on this
Singapore Airlines at number 1 The rest of my top five as follows; 2) Air New Zealand 3) Malaysian 4) Air Pacific 5) Qantas |
Gsteed, excellent point !

I was suprised to see several of you list EasyJet. On my last flight, (Tallinn to Berlin) they were very friendly and young. Always nice to see the ladies in heels and their hair up. I flew Ryanair last year and the same thing; young flight attendants and very well dressed. I guess that is one of the advantages of a new airline.
A few of the flight attendants that I've seen in the United States could use a course in 'Grooming 101.' |
1. Singapore
2. SAS 3. Southwest 4. Air New Zealand |
I whole heartly vote for
Singapore Air. The consistency in their service and the polite and professional manor has made me a believer in good service again. |

American Airlines,
Air Tahiti Nui But I'm not well-traveled on foreign airlines, so what do I know! ;) |
The FA's on Air New Zealand, Quantas
and American Airlines have always been very pleasant and helpful to me and my travel companions on all flights I have taken with them. I've found the FA's on Delta, Continental, British Air or Air France to be just average, but then I don't fly those airlines very much. Regardless, I always make it a point to give a friendly smile and hello to the FA's on the flights I take and from then on they almost always seem to take good care of me. |
Dontcha think Hooters Air had this won before they folded?
|
yes, bmiller, you are correct. In the early days Hooters had nice perks but it never got the support it needed. As the airline got older, however, sagging profits doomed that airline to failure.
