I agree with this assessment and it's incredibly disturbing. I was also bothered with the "nice older couple" because... the rest of us are not nice?

The OP apparently travels a lot to Asia and already weighed on this topic to some extent a few years ago. Also curious what news outlet she is supposedly working for.
