Turkish Airlines - Leg disappeared

I bought tickets to fly from SFO-Ataturk, then a couple days later fly Ataturk - Bordeaux. They changed the times on the flights which didn't suit our plans. So I called them and switched that second leg to be Ataturk - Paris. I got email confirmation and verified the change on our online reservation (and luckily captured a screen shot of that).

I looked at our reservation today (the flight is mid-July), and that second leg is just gone. Apparently I fly to Istanbul, swim to France I suppose, then 4 weeks later fly back to Istanbul and then on to SFO.

I've filed a complaint ticket through their customer service department. I don't know how well those work out. Has anyone had experience with them?

I wonder if the changed flight could have been put on a separate itinerary. But I don't think I'd wait for them to get back to you, suggest you call again.

thought the thread was about a prosthetic leg that went missing :)

lol. I'm going for the click bait headline apparently!

Everything looked fine on my itinerary as of April 2nd. I don't know what happened after that.

I would not wait for a complaint ticket to be investigated, it will be too late by the time they get to it. You need to call reservations now and speak to a supervisor and ask what happened to the IST-PAR flight. Did they put it on a separate booking, did it get cancelled by mistake etc. Have you looked at the booking recently, is the flight still missing?

Turkish Airlines got back to me Monday morning with a corrected itinerary. I'm relieved the mistake was evident to them as well.

I'm glad to hear that it got taken care of!

Thank goodness. It would be tough going trying to swim to France without your prosthetic leg.
