Therapy animals at airports?
Never heard of them, never saw them. I don't mean animals to accompany travelers, those are already living at SFO I think.

Personally, I like seeing therapy animals at different locations -- and hopefully they'll be added to other stressful places, like the DMV. I still remember how the agriculture beagle at LAX made my day, even though he was technically "the man" trying to sniff out whether I was carrying any contraband apples (thankfully I wasn't).

I have several friends whose golden retrievers are therapy/comfort dogs at SMF. They all must go through training and be certified before they can hang out at the gates. I love seeing them there!

I love therapy pets at airports! And hospitals etc. for that matter. 🐶

I love dogs and enjoy interacting with them but there are people who are very allergic to them and others who are very afraid of them. As long as they are controlled so that people who do not want to be near them can avoid them they are fine with me.
I feel differently about those folks who consider “Fluffy” a therapy dog and need to have him in the cabin with them for long flights. It is not kind to the animals or the others in the plane. |
