Only one story...

A year ago, almost to a day, flying on a red-eye HNL-ORD, a beautiful FA walked by and our eyes met. I was sitting up front on a very comfortable AA763 in the F section and she was working in the back. I never, ever done this before, but I asked the purser about her colleague. She gave me thumbs up and told me she will tell her about me. :-D

She did, the beautiful FA came over after all the work was done and the lights were out, the seat next to me was empty, she sat down, we talked, and the rest is history.....:-)

She lives in Pittsburgh, based out of Chicago and I live in Florida. Not the best of circumstances, but we do get together on occasion, usually in Hawaii (her favorite route) or in London, (her other regular route).

AAFF, that is a great story. I bet you have others but I am glad that is the one you shared. So AA has had a bigger role in your life than just the million miles. It is true that we often meet significant people where we spend the most time, which for a lot of us on this board is in the air or hotels. My husband was a hotel desk clerk right out of college when I was staying at his hotel in D.C. for a consulting job (I am a lot older than he is). We struck up a conversation, took a walk to Georgetown, and the rest is history - 20 years of it! ((L)) We still go back to that hotel sometimes. I actually had to move out of the hotel once we started seeing each other, so that he wouldn't get fired for playing w/a guest! ((6))

I can't imagine flying this many miles. I was curious and checked my miles-to-date on AA and at this rate, I'd have decades to go!

I have no stories but enjoyed reading AAFF and emd's.

AAFF - Does your wife know about the story? [Ha, just kidding. I have no idea if you're married or not. I guess not, uh? ;) ]

emd - Didn't know you're a woman. [Well, I tried not to get too personal on public forums, so I usually don't care about a poster's gender.]

Wait til you're Lifetime Platinum. Then you don't feel compelled to report bad news stories about other airlines.

AAFF - I noticed that's an "aagirl" on this forum. [She just posted on the "UA Rant" thread.] Would that be, ahem... ;)
