I read that the OP flies UA "quite a bit". Unless you match status, losing all those miles is painful. (Kind of like being 'forced' to fly AA over the water to Londond when BA better fits my schedule. No way I'm missing basic points never mind the doubling from being elite status.)
|
Well, it depends on what's more painful. East coast to Hawaii is about 5,000 miles, after adding the connections. That's 15,000 Mileage Plus miles (and 15,000 EQM if that's important) roundtrip.
But you sit in a domestic FC seat. You decide. |
Definitely check the fares from BWI. Have seen great FC fares on AA from there and the UA fares will likely be lower.
Like on AA, avoid the 757 domestic FC on UA. Aloha is a partner with UA. Only 5000 miles for an inter-island award. |
Double miles is hard to pass up. (According to our Trvl Mgr, United is giving double miles regardless of status)
|
so is AA, as long as one books by 5/31 and completes travel by 11/15.

OP is traveling in March 2007.
