Can I take dry coffee in my carryon?
I'm going to Maui next week and wondered if I could take my dry Folgers coffee in a carryon?
|
Certainly. No rule against nonexplosive dry material.

The simple answer is "Yes".
For a complete list of "prohibited items" go to the TSA website: http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/.../per...ted-items.shtm |
Yes, but be sure it's sealed...otherwise everything in your bag will smell like coffee when you arrive.

Yes

Hawaii is pretty strict with agricultural stuff, but ground coffee is okay. Green coffee beans are not:

Oh, sorry it says coffee plants are not okay. Green coffee bean has to be fumigated. :)

Thanks to everyone who wrote in. We are renting a condo for 9 days and love my Folgers in the morning! I know I can buy coffee in Maui but I have 2 cans right here at home and plenty of room in my carry on. I know I sound cheap but this is partly how I can afford to go to Maui for the second time this year!

No worries, kimkenly. I carried coffee to Paris this year because I wanted some first thing in our apt and didn't want to have to go looking for it. ::::: putting paper bag over head :::::

Oh, but Hawaiian coffee is oh so good! 100% Kona [peaberry] is the best stuff on earth. Ah well, to each his own.

I bring coffee BACK from Hawaii ;-) aloha suze
