Airport Lounge

Which star alliance lounge is the best at London Heathrow and San Francisco?

I've used both the United and SAS lounges at Heathrow. I think the UA lounge is more relaxing. It is furnished like a living room with carpeting, armchairs and sofas. The SAS lounge is almost spartan with wood floors, stools at countertops, etc. Both have good refreshments, SAS maybe a little better selection.

You may want to check out:

www.flyertalker.com

Find the UA, LX or *Alliance forums. Post the question there. I'm sure you will get all the answers you want/need.

I agree with the comments about the SAS lounge in LHR. It is spartan and very business like. I do not think that it is designed for longer layovers. The email access is great but that is all I can say. I would definately go with the UA lounge.

AAFF - While I wholeheartedly agree with your suggestion to check out FT, I think folks will have an easier time finding it if they go to: Flyertalk.com (rather than Flyertalker.com) ;-)

Best wishes, Dave
