One of the best travel tips I ever read was to pack your backpack, bag, or luggage and walk a mile with it. Then you will know if are over packed.

For two months, you really have to pack smart! Hubby overpacked his 24" suitcase, it was 2 lbs overweight. Continental let us slide but we had to redistribute things once we got to Cairo. He usually takes a 21" carryon size but didn't want to stress so he packed the "Queen Mum" bag and didn't even wear everything! My 21" carryon size was perfect: now that I don't have to pack 10 novel to read, I have more than enough space for clothes and shoes (I love my kindle)! The domestic flights in Egypt were so low stress--I don't know if they would've given attitude about being 1-2 lbs overweight. Egypt Air was a pleasure for the two short flights we had (Cairo-Aswan; Luxor-Cairo).

125 kilos, as in 275 pounds? We just returned from 3 weeks in SE Asia, and neither of our bags weighed more than 13.5 kilos!

Yep... 125 kilos.... 4 suitcases of just over 30 kilos each!! One was filled with Australian food treats for relatives, another presents and 2 with clothes for hubbie & myself!

If you're bringing things for relatives/friends it's not so bad. One of our first trips was 4 checked suitcases (free back then) 2 carry ons and 1 camera bag. And that was for a 1 week trip to Cancun!

Winnie should be in Egypt now!!! Really hope they have a fantastic time.
