Leaving for TZ tomorrow

I am all packed ~ okay I packed and repacked a few times but its all in there and I did use Lynda's list.

I feel that I'm well prepared. I've read everything on here and so many books that I have a small library.

I have no expectations for animal sitings b/c I feel that any siting is going to be a privilege (and that way I won't fee disappointed).

So why am I posting? I'm so nervous! I'm going alone and that's okay. I don't love traveling alone but in order to go to the places I want its a must do...

ANY last minute tips or tricks?

Leely May 29th, 2007 06:51 PM

No tips, no tricks. Sounds like you have a handle on everything. Look at the sky a lot. Prepare to fall deeply in love--slowly. Have an amazing trip.

Savor every sight, every sound, every experience, every moment. Tanzania is amazing.

Africa is one of the easiest places to travel alone. You really won't be.

Wonderful travels to you!

Africa is a great place to travel solo so don't worry about that. (Many people on this forum do so.) Have a wonderful time!

You'll have a great trip, wonderful memories, new friends. Be sure to keep a small journal.

Have a fantastic time. A safari is the perfect vacation to be on by yourself. You will not be alone. The extradorinary landscape, abundant wildlife, and wonderful African people will be with you.

Clematis's tip is a great one. Make sure you keep a journal. You will look back on it many times with fond memories.

Do keep a journal - it's so wonderful to read back on some of the little details later that have slipped from the memory but come flooding back on reading the reminder!

As Leely said, look up at the stars and be prepared to fall in love!

Travel safely!
