I looked at that too, kimburu. Looks like ol' RS is wanting to start trouble.

Back to topic: lbj, divewop and Nyamera, my hat is off to all of you for having ideas at least. More than I can say for myself.

divewop, I can't think of a better way to start Act II than with some FF miles and a trip to Africa on the horizon.

By the way, this is a very interesting thread ...just encouraging you in case anyone was feeling they might have said more than anyone would want to hear.

I often worry about elephants... especially when there is one outside my house feeing on our trees and the dogs are going nuts! No... I gladly give our trees, and the dogs go just as crazy about the cows or other dogs - even a cyclist sometimes. What I wonder is what is going to happen to this elephant if its owner has to bring it down to my house to eat (we live in the suburbs, not in the country). And I have some understanding of what it is like to have an elephant in your garden, and if it is YOUR garden it is really kind of difficult, even if you love elephants... as I do. So I am standing there in my "Save the Asian Elephant T-shirt" telling the owner that he probably couldn't keep the elephant in this street because someone was going to call the police (all the dogs were going nuts, not just ours) and wasn't there anywhere else he could go where he and the elephant would be safer and more comfortable?

This story doesn't go anywhere...and I have no answers; I guess I am saying South African elephants sometimes still have it good compared to Thai elephants, and that I'm worried that there is no solution, so I understand those who consider culling even though I HATE the idea... and now I will worry about elephants all day.
