At the most centrally located of all Puno hotels, right in the Plaza de Armas, all the rooms are comfortable and have modern bathrooms with tubs; some rooms also have balconies and Jacuzzis. The common areas have features dating from the colonial period. It's the best place in town during festivals, such as Candelaria, when dancers will make their way through the plaza. Be sure to book early during those times.
