1. El Growler
Opened by an ex-pat from Oregon, this microbrew pub has taken Valdivia by storm and brushed to the side the old traditional German beers the area had previously been known for. The Growler's own IPA beer is offered in-house only, and is a bar highlight. They also have a plethora of other beers, and good pub food like fish-and-chips.

National and local bands of diverse musical styles, from jazz to rock, supply the live music at this club and bar. There are two main rooms, one of which features a DJ that spins electronic dance music. The bar is always filled with a festive crowd.
