Fodor's Review

A century-old colonial building with thick adobe walls houses Viña Santa Rita's restaurant, where locally raised meats are the main draw–-try the delicious costillar de cerdo (pork ribs). Beneath the exposed beams of the peaked wooden ceiling, the restaurant is decorated with old religious sculptures and portraits, including one of Paula Jaraquemada, who owned the land at the time of the revolution. For dessert, enjoy the house specialty, ponderación, a crisp swirl of fried dough atop vanilla ice cream with caramel syrup. The minimum lunch charge is 16,500 pesos, so you might as well tuck in. If you plan to lunch here, arrive in time to join the winery's noon tour so you're not rushing to make the 3 pm tour.
