Director El Golf

Carmencita 45, Santiago, Santiago Metropolitan, 7550157, Chile

Aside from its location near the center of the El Golf entertainment district, this hotel has an important plus in that rooms—all spacious suites—have a kitchenette and small dining area. The service is friendly and very efficient. This hotel also has another less conveniently located and slightly cheaper branch at Avenida Vitacura 3600.

Practical, handsome, clean and spacious, with kitchenette. No carpeting, perfect for guests with allergies.

YOU SHOULD KNOW People stay here for the price, convenience and the kitchenettes, not for glamour, so do not be disappointed to know that some of the furnishings, though totally adequate, can seem a bit dated.

Clean and modern, geometric, with laminate flooring.

Clean and comfortable, with sofas and chairs, but nothing elaborate.

Treadmills, machines and weight equipment. Plenty to keep you busy and active.

Restaurant La Vendimia onsite serves Chilean and international food.

Drinks available in the La Vendimia restaurant, with cocktails (try a Pisco sour) or local wines.

There are better bars to be had in the immediate area. Leave the premises for something a bit glitzier.

Getting Around

This hotel is between two main metro stops on the same line, Tobablaba and El Golf, and in a neighborhood that is considered safe for walking around, even at night (though the usual recommendations apply). However, most guests will probable do a combination of walking metro and Uber/Cabify/taxis to get around.

Close to the hotel there are a few classics, such as Liguria (7-minute walk), serving Chilean specialties in big plates in a cozy atmosphere, Tiramisú (4-minute walk) is popular with families for pizza and salads. Nearby the hotel is also Don Carlos (6-minute walk) for meat, on Isidora Goyenechea, and the top floor of the Costanera Center (10-minute walk) has simple eateries and fancier options in its fifth floor food court. There are two areas to recommend for street-level wandering and restaurant discovery, which are Lastarria (17-minute drive) or Patio Bellavista (13-minute drive) and the adjoining street Constitución, where Peumayén (13-minute drive) serves ancestral food.

Les Dix Vins (12-minute walk)is a nearby wine bar for French food and wine. Many of the other bars in the neighborhood are in other hotels, such as in the W, which has the rooftop Red2One, (4-minute walk) or the 4th floor Whiskey Blue. It's worth a cab ride down to Lastarria (17-minute drive) to check out Bocanáriz (17-minute drive) for local wines, or Chipe Libre (17-minute drive) for Pisco drinks or to Patio Bellavista (13-minute drive) including popular Azotea Matilde (15-minute drive) or Siete Negronis (15-minute drive) for mixed drinks.

This hotel is fairly unbeatable for the price and convenience for families or small groups who want to stay in Las Condes. They have friendly but not overbearing service, and the kitchenette option makes everything easier for those who do not want to eat out every night
