This all-inclusive stone-and-log lodge on Lago Mascardi is the perfect springboard to explore the glaciers and waterfalls of Monte Tronadór, which lies only 25 km (16 miles) up the road. Ambitious hikers can climb to a refugio and return in a day. The lodge has been owned by the Vereertbrugghen family since 1929 and offers a broad range of activities including horse riding, fly-fishing, and rafting.
