Fodor's Expert Review Moreno Hotel
Moreno 376, Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires, 1091, Argentina
When they were reviving this art deco masterpiece, the architects ably met the challenge of restoring the 1929 building without disturbing its original elements, like mosaic tiling and stained-glassed windows. The seven-floor hotel has spacious and sexy rooms, each filled with chaise longues, cowhide rugs, and big fluffy beds. The top-floor terrace offers an outdoor fireplace, wooden recliners, and amazing city views, including the enormous San Francisco Basilica directly across the street. There's a top-notch spot for food and drinks—Aldo's Vinoteca y Restorán—on-site.
