Fodor's Review

Bachelor quarters for U.S. Army cavalry officers from 1909 to 1918, the red-roof visitor center was totally renovated in 2015. In addition to picking up maps, information, advice, and permits inside the hefty stone structure, you can tour the museum, whose exhibits explain the park's history, flora, and fauna. Most kids love the extensive wildlife displays, especially the ones of bears and wolves. The center's hours are variable, so it's wise to verify them upon entering the park.
