Fodor's Expert Review Kirk House Bed and Breakfast
595 Park St., Friday Harbor, Washington, 98250, USA
Rooms are all differently decorated in this 1907 Craftsman bungalow, the summer home of steel magnate Peter Kirk: the Garden Room has a botanical motif, the sunny Trellis Room is done in soft shades of yellow and green, and the Arbor Room has French doors leading out to the garden. You may take breakfast in the parlor—or have it in bed, served on antique Limoges china. Bountiful wicker-basket picnics, with all the trimmings, can be prepared for a day's excursion—but you might not need one after the full breakfast provided each morning.
PROS
- gorgeous house full of stained glass and other lovely details
- within walking distance of town
CONS
