Fodor's Expert Review Galway Bay Irish Restaurant, Pub and Gifts
Steak and traditional Irish fare are served at this dimly lit eatery, anchored by a corner fireplace and decorated with old church pews. The fare is decidedly Irish: beef in Guinness stew, soda bread, corned beef, steak in a Bailey's reduction, and a Blarney burger with Swiss cheese on a warm bun. Jameson and Bushmills line the top shelf of the back bar, along with a variety of other Irish whiskeys. Friendly barkeeps and Irish music add to the atmosphere, and the place hosts one of the largest Irish music festivals around in late October, with more than 30 bands on 10 stages at three venues. In the adjacent gift shop, you can buy a Guinness T-shirt, sweatshirt, ball cap, or other Celtic imports.
