Fodor's Expert Review Kimpton Palladian Hotel

2000 2nd Ave., Seattle, Washington, 98121, USA

The popular and reliable Kimpton brand nails it again with the Palladian, a hip new hotel in a 1910 Belltown landmark. The unpretentious vibe here is masculine-chic, from the tufted-leather front desk to the Napoleonic-style pop-art portraits of local icons like Jimi Hendrix, Bill Gates, and TV character Frasier that hang in the lobby and appear again as pillows in the guest rooms. Bright and airy, with custom raw-wood headboards, petite claw-foot tubs, antique maps and artwork, and on-trend black and gold accents, the rooms have a high-design feel at a reasonable price point. The hotel's Shaker + Spear restaurant offers noteworthy coastal fare in a striking setting, while the old-world-style Pennyroyal bar serves up speakeasy-inspired vintage cocktails.
