Silver Cloud Inn Lake Union
Why it made the list
While it doesn't have any special amenities for kids, this Silver Cloud location on Lake Union has a lot to offer. For starters, the parking is complimentary, a rarity in Seattle and a bonus for families with lots of stuff. The hotel also has an indoor pool and a buffet breakfast in an airy space with great views.
The Maxwell Hotel
Why it made the list
This colorful hotel is close enough to Seattle Center -- home of the Space Needle and family-friendly museums -- that little kids can handle the walk. There's a lot of cool stuff to look at, like murals, a pineapple mosaic, and children's art tiles lining the indoor pool, and the hotel offers complimentary bike use and free pineapple cupcakes in the afternoon.
