Fodor's Expert Review Paradise Inn
Where else can you enjoy Sunday brunch in a historic, heavy-timbered lodge halfway up a mountain? Tall windows provide terrific views of Rainier, and the warm glow of native wood permeates the large dining room, where hearty Pacific Northwest fare is served. The lunch menu is simple and healthy—three kinds of burgers (black bean, bison, and beef), salads, and the like. For dinner, there's wild salmon, red trout, hazelnut chicken, prime rib, and a meatless entree. Known for: bourbon buffalo meat loaf; warm liquor drinks.
