Fodor's Review

This D.C. institution is tucked in the first floor of an old row house only five blocks from the Capitol. Sassy waiters, talkative regulars, and this small diner's two boisterous owners, who run the grill, pack the place daily. Enjoy favorites such as grits, pumpkin pancakes, omelets, or the homey eggs Benedict, made with a toasted English muffin, a huge piece of ham, and lots of hollandaise sauce—but expect the unexpected in terms of clientele, and don't forget to play by the rules (i.e. no substitutions and as few questions for the staff as possible).
