Fodor's Expert Review Viceroy
1430 Rhode Island Ave. NW, Washington, District of Columbia, 20002, USA
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
Opened in the fall of 2020, the new Viceroy Washington, DC blends quite well with the eclectic neighborhood of Logan Circle. The location makes a great home base to explore one of the District's busiest culinary and nightlife areas: 14th Street NW and U Street NW. Upon entering, you are welcomed with neutral colors with a little pop of color here and there. The lobby has a convivial co-working vibe with communal desks and plenty of outlets and local-inspired art on the walls. The most notable is an art installation, portrait of DC's own, singer Marvin Gaye made of recycled cardboard. The rooms are standard sized, with modern decor and plenty of natural light. The hotel also has a beautifully decorated patio area where guests can gather with coffee or a glass of wine to unwind.
PROS
- chic decor
- recently renovated
- lobby can double as co-working space
