Fodor's Expert Review The Parker House Inn
1792 Main St., Quechee, Vermont, 05059, USA
This beautiful 1857 house on the National Historic Register once belonged to Senator Joseph Parker, who also owned the textile mill next door. Guest rooms are bright and sunny; Norwich and Hanover are the names of two cute rooms facing the river in back—they're worth inquiring about. Downstairs is an attractive bar area and a good French bistro with a menu that changes nightly. The riverfront porch offers an especially pleasant view of hot-air balloons taking off in summer.
