Fodor's Expert Review Rio Grande Depot

Downtown Salt Lake Museum/Gallery

This 1910 depot was built to compete with the showy Union Pacific Railroad Depot three blocks north. It houses the Rio Grande Café and Utah History Research Center (weekdays 9–4; www.historyresearch.utah.gov), which has rotating exhibits on the history of Utah and the West. The winter counterpart to Salt Lake's thriving farmers' market takes place on selected weekends from November to April.
