Seemingly ripped from the pages of Dwell Magazine, each of the 55 modern rooms and suites feature Midcentury furniture and décor and modular closets. Also included are flat screen TVs, Instagram-worthy views of town, and vibrant artwork from local artists.

Pets are welcome at $30 per night.

Space age in feel and functional in design. Organic bath products and terrycloth robe and slippers come standard with every bathroom, as do easy-to-use walk-in showers.

Eye candy perfectly sums up the polished, minimalistic lobby. Guests can enjoy sitting before the first floor’s bright windows in any one of the hotel’s Bauhaus chairs or perusing the carefully curated selection of literature, home goods, and apothecary in the attached Marfa Book Co.

Guests have complimentary access to nearby Bar Nadar Pool + Grill, an all-inclusive club for leisurely swims, frozen drinks, and fancy snacks.

LaVenture is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and offers a wide-ranging list of inspired New American eats featuring homemade pasta, and fresh seafood and meats. Dinner can get add up, but a $29 prix fixe menu is also available Wednesday through Sunday.

Located in walking distance to almost everything, guests can leave their cars parked at the hotel and enjoy easy strolls to the town’s most notable attractions.

Newly reopened after a long hiatus, upscale New American dinner spot, Cochineal (2-minute walk), provides guests with a wide range of locally sourced, high-end ingredients in an elegant setting. For pizza and beer hankerings, the Pizza Foundation (8-minute walk) is a must, but be forewarned: Due to popularity, it’s not uncommon to wait 30-60 minutes to get your pizza.

Bars

New to the Marfa food & drinks scene is Al Campo (4-minute walk), a beer and wine garden nestled in a charming adobe bodega, which offers a small but tempting menu of salads, sandwiches and tacos. Planet Marfa (5-minute walk), a favorite among locals and tourists for its eclectic setting and inexpensive drinks, boasts a large but cozy patio perfect for enjoying temperate West Texas nights.
