Fodor's Expert Review The Roadrunner Inn
306 E. Main St., Fredericksburg, Texas, 78624, USA
Not all B&Bs are stuffed with Victorian decor and period pieces. In fact, Fredericksburg has recently welcomed a few urban-minded accommodations offering a more contemporary environment. The Roadrunner Inn is composed of three little loft-like rooms perched above the Root clothing store on Main Street. Bright, fresh colors and lush green tropical plants create a nouveau-Miami feel. From robin's-egg blue and canary-yellow dishes mounted on the wall to lime-green-and-white accent pillows resting on the 1970s sectional couch, everything screams "we're retro, but we're still Texas-friendly." Kitchens are stocked with juice, milk, tea, coffee, and cereal. Fresh fruit and breakfast pastries are brought to your room each morning.
