717 High Street, Comfort, Texas, 78013, USA
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
British architect Alfred Giles built this historic inn that lies in the heart of Comfort in 1880 as the Ingenhuett-Faust Hotel. Once called the Comfort Common, the property took on new ownership in 2012 to become the Faust Hotel featuring 4 rooms in the main building as well as 4 other rooms available in the adjacent Carriage House and Victorian Caretaker's Cottage. Each room is uniquely decorated in sophisticated-yet-rustic style with plush, comfortable beds and modern amenities. Full breakfast served each morning in the main building.Pros: The perfect way to enjoy small-town charm.Cons: Some of the rooms are smaller than others and most include queen beds rather than king.
