North Austin’s Anderson Lane and Burnet neighborhood has welcomed several new restaurants over the past few years, with one of the most notable being this excellent new bistro and wine bar. Led by executive chef Camden Stuerzenberger, the modern “Austin inspired” cuisine centers around signatures like jumbo gulf shrimp and goat cheese grits with crab and vanilla butter and expertly prepared cuts of Niman Ranch beef tenderloin and pork chops, along with seasonal sides and starters, from ceviche samplers (with housemade tortilla and potato chips) and broiled oysters with bacon, cojita cheese, and sriracha aioli. The airy, light-filled dining room features retractable garage doors that open onto an outdoor patio and the bar features local beer, sake flights, and hundreds of international wines. Gluten free options are surprisingly extensive.
