The resort has plenty of wonderful rooms to wind down in. Guests can choose from a courtyard or lake view, or condo or suite for larger groups. The décor perfectly matches the tranquility of the lake, with color palette featuring natural colors and calming blues. The beds are lavish, the amenities are top notch, and you’ll find your room to be relaxing retreat after a long day outside at the pool or at a nearby golf course.
The lavatories are sized well, with some featuring detached or double sinks. Bathrobes and bath products come with each, and in-mirror lighting adds for a nice effect.

One of the draws of this resort is the giant water park that features three unique pools, hot tubs and a children’s splash area with waterslide. The park is busy during the day with kids, but at night the complex turns into a relaxing getaway with warm lights glowing from the resort.
The Spa at Lakeway offers dozens of individual or package spa services in a tranquil setting. Noteworthy services include Colorado River Rock Massage, Green Clay Detoxifying Wrap and Sea and C Facial. Relax in the outdoor terrace overlooking the lake, a couple's massage room. The spa also features saunas, private lounges and lockers.
TR Restaurant and Bar and Lounge serves up Southern comfort fare throughout the day, like shrimp po'boys at lunch and grilled pork chops for dinner. Guests are treated to views of the lake and the atmosphere is casual. If swimming all day, The Sunset Pool + Grill—closed during the winter season—will serve you cold beer and small bites like frito pie and smoky salted watermelon poolside.

Lakeway is at least a 30-minute drive from Downtown Austin, so you’ll want to rent a car if you’re planning on leaving the resort.
Festive Mexican restaurant Santa Catarina (9-minute drive) serves up brunch, lunch, and dinner featuring fresh takes on enchiladas, tacos, and rellenos. Their seafood is locally sourced and they use natural meats. Sundancer Grill (13-minute drive) l is nestled right on Lake Travis offering beautiful views of the marina. Guest are welcome to arrive by boat, and the seafood bistro is known for their crab hush puppies and shrimp tacos.
Down-home bar Castro’s Bar & Grill (9-minute drive) offers billiards, cigars, darts and drink specials for patrons looking to hang loose. For something a little nicer, Hops & Thyme (8-minute drive) provides indoor and outdoor shaded seating with a long list of craft beers and wine. Local musicians are often playing in the beer garden.
