Why We Like It

This hotel is perfect for groups wishing to stay together and explore not only downtown Nashville, but the surrounding neighborhoods and areas. SoBro Guest House is ideal for pre-gaming a night on the town with its record player and bluetooth speakers as well as nursing the hangover the next day with a homemade breakfast and French press coffee. These suite-style rooms have everything travelers could need to feel at home and serve as a homebase for urban adventures.

Fodor's Expert Review

A 24-room hybrid hotel, SoBro Guest House combines the comforts of an apartment with the convenience of a hotel. After self-check-in, which takes place via email and text messaging, guests are granted an individual room access code rather than a key.

Tip A staff member is always on-site to assist any problem as well as to store luggage for early arrivals or after check-out.

Room

Though the hotel is far from traditional, it does offer guests the services and most amenities associated with a night away from home. Housekeeping from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., wifi, and television are all available for each room. Light-flooded, neutral rooms with pops of kelly green and millennial pink make them picture perfect. Each room includes a record player, two Bluetooth speakers, Navajo-accent pieces, and a statement wall.

Guests will also find a separate living room, which features a pull-out sofa, and full kitchen, making the suite-style rooms ideal for groups. Equipped with a French press, basic cooking utensils, complimentary coffee and tea, and grocery program, in which guests can request a day in advance their grocery list be stocked in the room, the hotel will feel like home upon arrival.

You Should Know Though the hotel features a grocery program, it cannot, however, purchase alcohol on behalf of guests.

Bathroom

Black tile floors and white brick tiled walk-in showers give the bathrooms a luxurious feel. Marble vanities provide space for toiletries.

Lobby

Because this hotel is akin to renting an apartment for the weekend, there is no front desk or lobby. Guests will find building entrances marked with numbers indicated which rooms can be accessed by the corridor.

Dining

The hotel does not have a restaurant or bar on the premises; therefore guests are encouraged to visit the many tasty and trendy restaurants and bars near the hotel.

Amenities

SoBro Guest House does not include a pool, spa, or fitness room, but its other services and amenities include a text message concierge. The concierge will provide weather updates and itinerary suggestions. Feel free to reply with questions as this is two-way communication and not a mass form text.

The hotel has also partnered with Doorstep Dry Cleaning, an app that allows guests to easily access off-site dry cleaning.

Getting Around

Nashville is not the most walkable city, but the hotel includes free parking -- a rarity in the city. A four-minute walk to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum as well as a 10-minute walk to the bar scene on Lower Broadway, the hotel is an optimal choice for walking or Ubering around town.

Restaurants

Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint (1-minute walk), a cheap and casual eatery known for tacos and whole-hog barbecue, is next door to the hotel. Sean Brock's celebrated Husk (8-minute walk) is also within walking distance settled inside a historic home. For locally-sourced Southern food, try The Farm House (5-minute walk), located across from the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Bars

Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery (10-minute walk) is roughly five blocks from the hotel. For live music, stroll down Almond Street to the Listening Room & Café (4-minute walk). Visit 3rd & Lindsley (8-minute walk) for happy hour, just two blocks further.
