Why We Like It

Staying outside of the downtown area allows for more accessibility and freedom to explore beyond the downtown area. In addition to its close location to the airport, the Grand Ole Opry, and Lane Motors Museum, Sheraton Music City is only a short drive away from Nashville's trendiest neighborhoods.

Fodor's Expert Review

This disability-accessible and pet-friendly hotel provides guests with a comfortable stay and a luxurious appeal of Old South charm. Close to both the airport and interstate, Sheraton Music City gives guests the option to explore Nashville and the surrounding area at their own pace.

Room

The smoke-free hotel's 410 rooms with 56 suites allow guests, and their pets, to experience Southern hospitality with essential comforts. Each room has a patio or balcony, a workspace, and a sitting area with a chaise lounge. The neutral rooms accented by colorful art and throw pillows set the right atmosphere for relaxing after a long day.

A television is provided in every room, but wifi is only free in the business center and public areas of the hotel for non-SPG members; otherwise, it is $10 per day.

Tip Wi-Fi is free to SPG members when their stay is booked on an SPG website rather than through a third party.

Bathroom

Adequately large beige bathrooms feature walk-in showers with floor-to-ceiling glass doors.

Lobby

From the marble floors and pineapple fountain to the sconces and crown molding, the Sheraton Music City decor reminds guests of the South's old charm. The spacious and ambling layout reveals the wide, interior courtyard across the lobby upon entering the hotel. Guests will find the green space welcoming on a fair-weathered morning or evening. The outdoor pool is located just beyond the outdoor fountain. The hotel bar and business center can also be found inside the lobby.

Pool

The hotel features an outdoor pool, an outdoor children's pool, and a heated, indoor pool. Adults will enjoy the hot tub, but if that is not enough to work away any stress, schedule a massage treatment at the hotel's spa.

Gym

The fitness center includes a full locker room, aerobic machines, free weights, and other weight machines. Runners will enjoy a local trail system, and golfers can play on the nearby course as well.

Dining

Breakfast, daily snacks, and afternoon hors-d'oeuvres are all complimentary to guests, but the hotel's restaurant, Old Hickory Grill also serves three meals per day. Diners will enjoy classic Southern dishes and wine pairings from the cellar.

You Should Know Dress is casual, but note that the restaurant closes between 1 and 5 p.m. to prepare for dinner.

Drinking

Veranda Lounge is in the lobby and is open from 1 p.m. to 1 a.m.

What's Nearby

Getting Around

Free self-parking and an airport shuttle are available.

Located less than six miles from the Grand Ole Opry, it is best for guests to drive themselves. Though the hotel is outside of Nashville's downtown, and therefore, walking distance, Sheraton Music City allows travelers flexibility and easy access to any part of Nashville without the hassle of parking in a deck daily.

Restaurants

For an alternative to hotel dining without driving downtown, try Darfon's (4-minute drive) for casual American fare or Monell's at the Manor (8-minute drive) for Southern favorites. Nashville's most talked about haunts are, however, closer to downtown, like Hattie B's Hot Chicken (15-minute drive).

Bars

For a beer and good service, go to Elm Hill Tavern (5-minute drive). Hotel Preston is nearby, and their lounge, Pink Slip (4-minute drive), offers local music nightly. There is, of course, always Honky Tonk Row downtown (16-minute drive).
