Greenville

Once known for its textile and other manufacturing plants, Greenville has reinvented itself as a trendy and sophisticated city that supports a growing number of restaurants, galleries, and boutiques along a tree-lined Main Street that passes a stunning natural waterfall. Anchored by two performance centers, the business district is alive well into most evenings with couples and families enjoying the energy of this revitalized Southern city. Downtown development has been so successful that many young professionals have moved here to create interesting living spaces, food halls, breweries, and mixed-use developments from the old brick warehouses surrounding town. From May through October, Main Street comes to life with the Greenville State Farmers Market on Saturday morning.
