Murrells Inlet

Murrells Inlet, a fishing village that bills itself as the seafood capital of South Carolina, is a perfect place to rent a fishing boat or join an excursion. A notable sculpture garden and state park provide other diversions from the beach. Though there are a few chain hotels, they aren't anywhere near the water.
