Fodor's Expert Review Sesame Burgers & Beer

This burger-and-beer joint makes just about everything on the premises—from its house-ground burgers right down to the mustard, ketchup, and mayonnaise. Among the don't-miss burgers are the Charleston, topped with homemade pimiento cheese; the Lonestar, with pulled pork and blue cheese slaw; and the Park Circle, with cheddar cheese, coleslaw, barbecue sauce, and tomatoes. Also garnering special mention is the street corn, charred on the grill, then slathered in chipotle butter and Cotija cheese. Sesame's devotion to beer is strong, too, with selections running at least 30-deep. Two other locations can be found in West Ashley at the Citadel Mall and in Mount Pleasant at 675 East Johnny Dodds Boulevard.
