The staff is friendly and the pizzas are excellent, thin-crust, and "Philly style," which means they also offer that town's famous stromboli with the same thin, crispy crust. If you'd rather have pasta, the jumbo beef ravioli is a local favorite. An exposition kitchen means lots of give-and-take between the dining room and the family that runs the place, and they still have the large, foliage-lined patio with its backyard feel.

A short 15-minute drive southwest of West Glacier, this casual family-owned restaurant serves up great pizza, fried chicken, fish-and-chips, and salads alongside a nice selection of local beers and ales. Guests order at a counter, pay, then seat themselves. Gluten-free pizza is available, and there are also a variety of side dishes on the menu like mozzarella sticks, battered mushrooms, onion rings, and French fries. The restaurant is open only from 4 to 8 Wednesday through Sunday, and you can order take-out and sit at outdoor picnic tables.

Three words: maple bacon doughnuts. If that's not enough to get you in the door, any number of other creative options—think raspberry Nutella or berries and mascarpone—should do the trick. Mark Remi and the late Allison Smith opened their sweetheart of a store because they suspected there was an untapped enthusiasm for artisanal doughnuts. The verdict? Unqualified success. There are 7 to 10 varieties daily, filled with homemade jam and other fillings. Just name your flavor.
