Standard rooms are contemporary and minimal with standard hotel stylings like pastel striped blackout curtains, mahogany desks, muted lamps and a recliner chair. Beds are cult favorite comfy Sheraton Sweet Sleeper beds with down or foam pillows. There are large work desks with outlets available, desk chair, and lamp. The artwork in the rooms is University and Philadephia inspired.

All rooms have a shower tub combination, sinks are marble, and the products are Le Grand Bain bars, bodywash, shampoo and conditioner.
The lobby faces bustling Chestnut street in University City. The lobby is recently renovated and has a geometric modern design with a gas fireplace used in the wintertime. The restaurant and garage entrance also found on the lobby level.

There is a popular outdoor rooftop pool, which opens Memorial Day closes Sept. It has a nice surrounding sun deck with lounge chairs and poolside snacks.

Two ancient Chinese armored statues stand outside the best Chinese food in Philly, originally from Chinatown, there is an outpost of Sang Kee Noodle House in the lobby of the hotel.Try the shrimp dumpling noodle soup, Peking Duck and spicy Kung Pao shrimp with peanuts, pan-fried noodles and chow fun. The casual chic restaurant also has a full bar and serves dim sum for breakfast.
Sangkee Noodle House has a full bar to sit at with Chinese beers and all the well drinks you can imagine, try a tequila sunrise.
University City is totally walkable. It's a 4-minute walk to 34th Street station's Market Frankford Line to get down to Center City. 1-minute walk to the #10 trolley.

WHY WE LIKE IT
Location, location, location. It's right next door to the University of Pennsylvania, 30th Street Station for arriving into town and it's walkable to downtown or the Art Museum if you choose (public transit is minutes away.) One of Philadelphia's best Chinese restaurants is located right inside but the pool brings the score up.
