Fodor's Review

The name of this cool downtown spot references two of its proprietors: one is a transplanted Australian; the other's last name is Fox. The warm setting is contemporary but playful with a mix of wire chandeliers, exposed brick, dark woods, and antique mantles, along with ornate arrangements of gold-framed mirrors, Victorian prints, and sumptuous, tufted upholstery. The menu is similarly balanced with a mix of Australian dishes like Australian tomato pie, the Aussie burger, and Lamington whoopie pies (chocolate whoopie pie with red raspberry and coconut cream filling) and more locally inspired (and sourced) fare like grilled half chicken with cornbread waffles, a Beet-L-T wrap, and birch beer-glazed ribs. Wash down with carefully crafted cocktails and (strong) Australian coffees.
